Born Sophie Maupu, Sophie Marceau grew up far away from studios spots until her 14th year. Back then, she was living in the Paris suburbs (Gentilly) and her father was a truck driver. She played in Boum 2, La (1982) then she bought back her contract with Gaumont when she was sixteen years old for one milion French francs.
